Step 1 | Warm Up & Rinse French Press
Warm up and rinse the empty press with hot water. This helps maintain the temperature for best extraction.

Step 2 | Measure Coffee Grounds
Grind 20g of coffee (3 tbsp) as fine as breadcrumbs and prepare around 240g of hot water (about 92-96°C).

Step 3 | Add Water
Discard the rinse water and add coffee into the empty press. Gently pour twice the amount of hot water (40g) than coffee (20g) onto your grounds.

Step 4 | Gently Stir
Give the grounds a gentle stir with a spoon or paddle. Allow the coffee to bloom for 30 seconds.

Step 5 | Add More Water
Add the rest of your water. Put the lid on and allow the coffee to brew for 4 minutes without pressing it down.

Step 6 | Press & Enjoy
Press the filter all the way down. Serve it up. Pour coffee into a mug or carafe immediately. If the coffee sits on the grounds too long, it continues brewing and over-extract. Enjoy!
